A core set of 20 varieties that can provide a year-round supply of fruits has been selected and evaluated for productivity, fruit quality, and nutritional composition. The core set includes varieties that are considered desirable or superior in their island of origin, are widely cultivated and grown in the Pacific Islands, or have potential for commercial products. These varieties will be available for distribution to other tropical localities.
